DEW receives “Medallion of Success” Award

DEW Engineering and Development has received the 2007 'Medallion of Success' Award from General Dynamics Land Systems - Canada (GDLS-C). The award is presented annually to exceptional suppliers that serve as a standard for other GDLS-C suppliers to emulate. This year, DEW was one of only six firms selected from over 500 companies which supply products or services to GDLSC around the globe. Prime considerations for the award included outstanding efforts in technology, responsiveness and overall value of goods and services provided with particular emphasis placed on timely delivery and product acceptance.
Although the focus of this year's nomination was the outstanding achievements of DEW providing add-on armor for the US Stryker BCT program, the award also recognized DEW for its accomplishments and dedication on Canadian armor programs, as well as its performance in providing addon armor for the New Zealand Light Armored Vehicle Program. DEW’s overall performance was a main reason for the recent award by GDLS-C of an additional contract to produce armor for the US RAP program, specifically the RG-31. Representatives of GDLS-C recently presented the Medallion of Success Award to DEW on 11 Sep 2007 at its production facility in Miramichi, New Brunswick. A similar award ceremony is planned in the near future at its US subsidiary, DEW Industries, in Ogdensburg, New York, USA.
