Atlantic Alliance Inviting Participation - Atlantic Mission to Farnborough International Airshow
Friday, April 09, 2010
The Atlantic Alliance of Aerospace and Defence Associations (Atlantic Alliance), in partnership with the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA), cordially invite you and your team to participate in the Atlantic Trade Mission to the Farnborough International Air Show July 19-25, 2010.
The Farnborough International Air Show is a bi-annual trade event for the global aerospace sector and the largest aeronautic trade show of year. Commemorating its 62nd year this coming July, the Farnborough International Air Show has proved its reputation as a leading industry event. According to statistics, a biennial event, Farnborough International Air Show 2008 was attended by over 130,000 trade visitors with exhibiting companies announcing record-breaking order figures of US$88.7bn, more than doubling 2006's figures of US$42bn.
As a key company in the Atlantic Canadian aerospace and defence industry, this event is an opportunity to meet with key decision markers and government officials who can have great impact on your business. Meeting these contacts face-to-face often proves valuable when tapping into new international markets. The Farnborough International Air Show also provides access to leading commercial and defence contractors, as well as primes responsible for developing bid teams for Major Crown Procurements and significant Industrial Regional Benefits.
Your participation will not only demonstrate your commitment to the aerospace and defence industry, but it will also enhance the Atlantic delegation at this crucial international event.
We are anticipating the largest contingency of Atlantic Canadian delegates ever to participate in this mission. Atlantic Canada has a strategic advantage over other clusters and this event will provide the venue to showcase our region and its capabilities. We will be arranging strategic meetings in advance of the show to help meet your business objectives and make the most of your time at the event.
It should be noted that several "invitation only" events will be held during this trade mission, including:- Canada Reception, July 19, 2010, at Canada House
- Atlantic Canada Reception, July 20, 2010, at McDonald House
